This is an awesome 4BR+2BA house w/a huge back yard (we're pet friendly) and awesome front patio area, facing the sunset. It's 3 blocks from a grocery store, 4 cafes and 7 eateries (including Mohawk Bend+Bar, Chipotle, Elf, a pizza place and a sushi place). There are countless dessert places here. 2-4 more blocks and you have access to Lassens (a fancy health food store), over 6 bars/breweries and 5 more eateries. Plus The Echo/Echoplex music venue is in the center of it all as well.
Hey new friend:
This is a HUGE property (nearly 2500 square feet) on the border of Silverlake, near Echo Park. A 1920s craftsman style home that houses a hip retired couple.
Remodeled in the 1990s (they added a huge kitchen and master bedroom) this house is filled with hardwood floors and a chic, modern look. The kitchen/dining room has a slanted roof, reminiscent of Scandinavian Ski Lodge. There are plants EVERYWHERE!
The back yard is almost double the size of the house and filled with plants and storage from my old bus advertising days. There are tons of chairs and it's a great place to take in some sun.
This place is within a 3 block walk from:
★ Mohawk Bend (Full bar eatery with lots of Veggie/Vegan options)
★ Silverlake Ramen (REALLY REALLY GOOD)
★ Vons (supermarket/grocery store)
★ Elf Cafe (Vegetarian)
★ LOTS of boutique "hipster" shops (I'm not a fan of that word)
★ Taix French Restaurant (Full Bar)
★ Andante Coffee Roasters
★ Yami Yaki Sushi
★ Tierra Mia Coffee
★ The Semi-Tropic (Full bar, concentrating on tropical drinks)
★ Cosa Buona (Italian+Pizza)
★ Corporate stuff: A really fancy Starbucks, a Cinnaholic, The Habit Burger Grill and Chipotle
★ Echo Park Library
★ Over 5 mexican food places
2-4 more minutes and you're in "downtown" Echo Park:
☆ The Echoplex (music venue, dancing, bar)
☆ Lassens - Fancy health food/grocery
☆ Sage Plant Based Bistro and Brewery (Veggie/Vegan)
☆ Blue Bottle Coffee
☆ Señor Fish
☆ El Prado - Groovy dive bar w/beer+wine
☆ The Time Travel Mart (Wacky items, profits support education)
☆ Stories (hip bookstore/cafe)
☆ Celaya (Authentic Mexican bakery owned by a family friends)
☆ The gorgeous Echo Park Lake (GREAT place to chill, people watch, play frisbee, etc). Definitely search for images of this, you'll fall in love.
☆ there are 5-10 more cafes in the area... no lack of coffee.
My son Zack is always available if there are any issues, and I am too. We're here to make your stay comfortable!
Our biggest concern are people using too much toilet paper. Big groups that are too liberal on the paper will need the plumber to pay a visit. Just be cool and all will be good.
