The Spot
Guests access the property through the garage. Yes, when you rent this house, you get to utilize the two-stall garage, the door of which is controlled by a code you will receive prior to booking. I believe this is the only short term rental in or near Nederland that comes with a garage. It comes in very handy in the wintertime. The door to the house is inside the garage, so it is easy access for bringing groceries, luggage and your group .
Located in the Sunnyside neighborhood on the north edge of Town, Contemporary Log Home rental is approx. 1,600 square feet and sits on a one-half acre lot. The house can sleep eight people. The Nederland Elementary School is only a few houses away. This listing is within walking distance to #Mud Lake Open Space Trails, #Nederland Ice Rink (RINK) (which becomes a tennis court in the summer) and a town maintained trail system accessed from the soccer field below the grade school. It is also within walking to and from #The Caribou Room, a very contemporary nightclub. The Caribou Room is only open when a show is booked, roughly 4-5X a month. It is great for Nederland to have access to major touring musical acts. Check their schedule. You may want to plan your trip around a future artist performing there.
Not only do you get to stay in this beautiful home, but you can explore it like a museum. The owners of the house are avid vintage poster collectors, especially railroads and ski memorabilia. There's all sorts of unique items around the house and downstairs game room like old neon beer signs, a vintage Coors cocktail table and chairs set, a foosball table, Corn Ball Toss and a professional darts board The basement is well lit, clean, brightly painted and welcoming. Put your beer in the red antique Coca-Cola metal cooler.
There are a lot of unique aspects to the house like the sun rays in the outdoor railings, the superior carpentry work within the inside walls, nice wood floors and a great deck off the main floor in the back. That's a super place for grilling dinner, watching the stars or a beautiful sunset. The mountains look so close you think you can touch them. As you look west, you can see the Continental Divide and mountains on either side of the Roosevelt National Forest valley ahead. Sweet front porch as well with a miniature man made pond and gardens.

Guests can access all parts of the house and can utilize the two car garage.
Other Stuff
When it snows, the driveway must be shoveled before a car is driven on it. Otherwise, the snow turns to ice and a car can slide on the pavement. While I have a person who does remove snow, he does not necessarily get to this driveway first. If you need to leave before the driveway has been cleared, there are shovels in the garage that you can use to clear it. Much appreciated!!
